Hi Brian, sorry that we had to cancel the evnt at such short notice - however, after consulting with the venue and the band, it was felt that it would be better to postpone the concert due to the incredibly poor ticket sales - you will appreciate that we can possibly run at breakeven, but we can't run at a loss. I can assure you that we rarely cancel events, as, as you rightly say, it doesn't look good. I would advise all of our valued customers to check our website AND our Facebook page on a regular basis, especially on the day of the concert, as this is where any last minute changes will be posted. We do hope that you will give us any chance Brian and look forward to seeing you and your party at another event in the future. Best wishes - The Brandywine Team
Hi there - just to let EVERYBODY know - we have changed our contact details as from the end of December. To contact us by phone - 01732 440470 and by email - info@brandywinemusic.co.uk All previous contact details were disabled on the changeover which was the last week of December. ALL CURRENT contact details are clearly listed on this website. Many thanks.
Many thanks for the brilliant evening at the Orchard including the fire alarm!! Impressed with Ty Watling.
Richard's set was amazing the best parts were the Rolling Stones medley & a beautiful version of Sandy Denny's Who knows where the time goes.
Shame you had to change the venue - was really looking forward to a Dockyard gig, but hey, the music more than made up for it. Oli Brown, what a talent! Won't be long before he's pulling in the crowds. Walter Trout, what can I say - the whole band is so talented that the music is sublime. More of this in Medway please........
well done for getting the levellers to rochester cathedral.it was an amazing nite.somewhere along the line the idea of "acoustic" went out the window and it turned into any other levellers gig.a really bizarre gig,but it worked.bring them back,as it was worth the journey from london.cheers lads!!!!!!
Brandywine Music - Thanks for putting The Levellers on at Rochester Cathedral, what an amazing night! Awesome seeing some of your older audience still seated in the second half when everyone else was dancing away and sing our hearts out!!
A really bizarre venue for The Levellers to play, but variety is the spice of life!
Some really nice Real Ale pubs in Rochester too, enjoyed beers in the Man of Kent, Good Intent, Cooper's Arm and then back to the Man of Kent for late ones and was made welcome even though we turned up after 11pm!!!
Thanks a million guys, you rock!!
Hi Guys, just wanted to say Well Done for The Levellers at Rochester Cathedral, has to be one of the Strangest but Best GiGs I have Been to Ever. Enjoyed the Whole Experience and was Nice Meeting some of You Guys Also. Keep up the Good Work!!!!!!
Hi Brandywine Music guys. Well youve gone and done it again haven't you . . . Youv'e given us all another fine evening of outstanding entertainment, that is, well just not rivalled anywhere else. SAM CARTER was an absolute joy. Ive waited awhile to catch young SAM live, and Brandywine Music was the one to bring this to me, and so locally too. You really do spoil us ... For those that missed it, well what can I say other than, you missed a stonker. SAM CARTER is the future of true folk. He will become massive and then we can all say, we were there in his infancy. Thanks Kieth & Kevin, you really do pull out all the stops to conjeur up some real treats for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you . Til next time . . Nice one Brandywine Music ; -]
Its just, common knowledge how great your nights out are ; -]
Cara Dillon and Blair Dunlop
What a superb evening. We wish Blair, (only 19) a long and happy career, and Cara is delightful, funny, and blessed with the voice of an angel.
We will pay closer attention to your e-mails, and hope that we get more instances of acts we have not previously heard of turning out as stunningly successful!
Best wishes
Many thanks for bringing the mighty Chris Wood to Hastings, and to such a beautiful venue (St Mary-in-the-Castle). MORE, lots more, please!
Thanks Kevin and Keith so much for arranging the Classic Rock combo - Hells Bells and Limehouse Lizzy were, as aways brilliant, hope you get them back again very soon, and thanks Kev for the photo with Lee!
Hi BRANDYWINE MUSIC, thanks for a great entertaining year, I sure look forward to catching up with you all on the otherside of the festivities . .
ASHLEY HUTCHINGS has been pencilled in for my future booking of an event from BRANDYWINE. Dont know why Ive never looked into the world of ASHLEY HUTCHINGS before . . Im really hooked on to his sound, so do expect to see me there. Im excited already . . .
Thanks again BRANDY WINE MUSIC, you pull out all the stops to keep us mortals entertained, that is why you have become one of the most important local music promoters. Keep up the good work . . Have a good Crimbo, Brian
Hi guys - just want to say what a FANTASTIC night that was on Saturday!!! The weather was way less than perfect, but you guys gave me a BRILLIANT evening which drove away the cold and the snow!!!
The Dave Jackson Band were something else - and they were ONLY the support act!! Yeah, right!!! BRILLIANT!!!!
THEN, Mr Oli Brown -still can't believe that he is ONLY 21!!! The night was SO SHORT!!! Could have seen the sun come up with both of them!!!
Thankyou all at Brandywine - Keith, Kev and Guy - for such a great night!!!!
Come on people - come to these gigs!!! Brandywine is awsome what they are putting on for us!!!
See you at the next one.
Don Taylor
Thanks for the Andy White gig on Friday. He was excellent, and deserved a much larger audience. Still, thanks for putting him on, as he's a name that's been on my list for a long while. I'll definitely make the effort to see him again, but also to keep an eye on your other gigs, and I don't suppose it'll be the last you see of me. Thanks again
I was there last Saturday too. I'm very much in agreement with Phil. Both bands were great in their different ways and that made for a thoroughly enjoyable night out. Volume was fine for me and I too think it's extremely unfair to blame the support band for the (admittedly quite irritating) behaviour of a few idiots at the bar. And how nice to be able to exchange a few words with the Colvin Quarmby singer on the way out. Excellent stuff all round - more of the same please!
I was there on Saturday night, having seen neither band before. I have a different view to the previous two posters. Rather than being incompatible I thought the support act The Arty Fufkins were a very good contrast musically to CQ – and I thought their songs and performance were first class, and well matched to the evident qualities of CQ. Too loud? Certainly not for me, and in any case the band would not have been aware of how loud or quiet they were – the sound engineer makes the call on sound levels during sound check and thereafter during the performance itself. As for the noisy people at the bar, I agree that this was annoying, but it wouldn’t be fair for the band to be tarred with the same brush and it was resolved once the people in question moved on during the CQ set. Overall a great night out – I’ll certainly be checking out both bands the next time they are in town!
Whilst Colvin Quarmby were excellent, I have to agree with the last comment regarding the Artie Fufkins lot at the bar who were quite simply the rudest audience I have ever encountered!
Whilst I agree that the Colvin Quarmby concert on Saturday night at the Stag, in Sevenoaks, should have been really good, the whole experience was ruined for me by the choice of the support act that was not, in my opinion, compatible with CQ; the over-amplification of the support act and the selfish behaviour of the small fan club of the support act, who kept up a constant and noisy chatter from the bar at the back of the theatre during most of the CQ set.
Great show on Saturday in Sevenoaks - really enjoyed ColvinQuarmby - first time I've seen an artist with hyperactivity disorder enjoy himself so much and backed up with a really musical band singing some great songs. I really enjoyed the Artie Fufkins - again some really strong songs and they will mature like a fine wine as they get to play more gigs. All in all a great show. Welll done Brandwine music!
Hey guys if youve not yet been to a BRANDYWINE MUSIC event, then I cant recommend anything more amazing . . .
Any Great Bands ?, well thats an understatement, with many artists and bands performing that would usually be found playing large venues with over priced ticket fees and even large festivals, including the monster of them all GLASTONBURY . . .
BRANDYWINE MUSIC offer value for money and has great performers playing small intimate venues, and these small gigs are mostly exclusive performancies ..
Ive recently seen NORMA WATERSON, and ELIZA CARTHY play infront of no more than 55 people. Now thats intimate, and thats not all . . . this was part of a major tour to promote the new NORMA WATERSON and ELIZA CARTHY , CD ''THE GIFT'' . . .alongside these great Folk Ladies, was also MARTIN CARTHY . . . . Now you cant argue that this collection of FOLK FAVOURITES, are not Iconic. Found at the CAMBRIDGE FOLK FESTIVAL and numerous large halls and venues cross the UK, this gig could never be repeated anywhere else other than at a BRANDYWINE MUSIC event . . . It is their aim to bring the best of all varieties of MUSICAL TALENTS to the smaller audience to give an exclusive experienece, for a fraction of the cost of over priced clubs and venues . . .
Do yourself a favour and have a look through the upcoming gig listings for BRANDYWINE MUSIC and book yourself an evening with your favourite artist or performer and experience a real treat . . .
Something you will not forget in a very long time . . .
Thank you BRANDYWINE MUSIC . . . .
Im off to book tickets, right now, for the THINK FLOYD SHOW at the Stag Cinema in SEVENOAKS, coming up this NOVEMBER . Now that'll be a real treat . . . .
Keep on Rockin' in the Free world . Best wishes DJ WEIRDITUDE x
